day #1:Gear Kari

So since I bought a week of these lessons,I'll use my week to discuss certain archetypes we love or in this case hate.Each of the lesson will be about play style,strength,weaknesses,and side deck options.Well the first Archetype up is really 2 but ohh well,Gear Kari.Gear Kari is of course one of the fastest paced decks out there able swarm most duelists into defeat.This decks combines the swarming of both archetypes with the xyz support from current sets.This deck is also able to synchro very fast usually going for the two Kari synchro monsters.They usually start off either going 4 Gear Gigant X for searching or use the Karis to synchro.After this they usually bring out a full field of synchroes and xyz's and Otk by pure effs or Limiter.As I said b4 their strength really is the swarming.However like all decks it does have a weakness.System Down,Acid Rain or Fortress Dragon will cripple this deck and usually allows the user to reverse and even Otk the user of the Gears.Best side deck options r anything that negate effs,prevent special summons,or can banish.With that said they're still a nightmare to face but are beatable.Well tomorrows lesson will be based off yet another meta ddeck:My beloved Merleteans.Til then y'all

I know this one's a day late so I'll probably do 2 later.Today's lesson is about the Merleteans another fusion deck of sorts.As its name suggusts its a combination of mermails and the atletneans or hwever you spell it.The playstyle is very simple,swarm out either 4's or 7's use the 3's effs to set up a abyss squall or tidal and go apeshit.If theyre signature move is done right its usually gg thanks for coming.This is my opnion was the most explosive deck of last format and by far the most consistent deck.However gunde got limited so we're see how good they do but I do believe they should do just fine seeing as how theres too many options to go to(teus,linde,tidal,megallo etc)so really it should still be a tier 1.The play style also allows 4 synchroes if you include Deep Sea Diva whos limited but I personally think Effect Veiler is better.While Diva usually means lvl 7+ synchro,Veiler means Fu Dracosack,Big Eye,FF Bear,Rabbit etc.However the decks main strenths lie in its consistent xyz summons like Number 74,Dracosack,Silent Honor,and the list goes on.As I kinda implied this deck can be very tough to take on if u have a crappy hand.Best side deck options are Vanitys,Macros,Dimension Fissure,Effect Veiler,Forbidden Graveyard,and lastly Royal Decree(to stop sphere).Hnestly if you get past a few turns and survive u stand a good chance just watch out for Gaios.Well thats it 4 this lesson and Ill post the net one 4 my time.Til then y'all peace
